Innovis Health’s “Urgent Care” department is staffed from 8:00am – 8:30pm on weekdays, 9:00am - 8:30pm on weekends. Physicians and other medical staff provide the care and expertise needed to assess patient’s non-emergent problems and concerns in a walk-in environment.
Urgent Care is available to provide non-emergent medical care; however, Urgent Care is located adjacent to the Emergency Department for those times patients may require being upgraded to a higher level of medical attention.
Emergency Department
The Innovis Health Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. It is conveniently located off Interstate 29-South at the 32nd Ave Exit in south Fargo. Equipped to handle multiple ambulances, the Innovis Health ED also has a helipad for flight services needed for transferring patients in or out of the facility.
Innovis Health’s Emergency Department is Level II Trauma Certified, with a medical staff specially trained and certified to evaluate and manage all types of illness and injuries. Patients are triaged upon arrival with staff and volunteers ready to assist patients and family members.
At Innovis Health, we strive for excellence and feel part of our mission is to provide community outreach and injury prevention teaching. Our nursing staff and paramedics are actively involved in educating and promoting safety to people of all ages. Our injury prevention education includes everything from teaching children about bike safety to teaching the elderly on how to prevent falls.
24-Hour Air Care
North Memorial Air Care offers 24-hour air medical transportation services, with crews based in Bemidji, Brainerd, Princeton, Redwood Falls and Lakeville, Minnesota. Depending on weather conditions and terrain, Air Care crews can respond directly to the scene of an emergency. North Memorial Air Care is affiliated with North Memorial Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center in the Twin Cities, but transports patients to and from any appropriate facility. In 2006, patients were transported to 39 different hospitals throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, and Iowa.
Air Care helicopters are the fastest available for civilian use and reach speeds up to 180mph. The pilots are instrument rated, giving the program greater flexibility in flight capabilities. Response time and rapid treatment have always been important to trauma patients, and revolutionary changes in cardiac care require emmediate patient transport and emergency care as well.
