Valley City Community

The Sheyenne River winds its way through Valley City, population 6,826, in east central North Dakota, a one-hour’s drive west of Fargo. Known for its eight bridges that connect east to west, Valley City is a picturesque, thriving community. Residents value education, and learning opportunities abound. The city has an excellent public school system, a private grade school, and is home to Valley City State University, one of 11 North Dakota state colleges and universities. In addition, outdoor recreation activities are plentiful. Lake Ashtabula, which offers fishing and other water sports, is only 12 miles north of the city.
